About Int'l Assisted Reproduction Center
The International Assisted Reproduction Center (IARC©) is directed by Steven H. Snyder. He has been actively involved in advocating for a legally secure environment for both the surrogates and intended parents in the surrogacy community for over 20 years. Mr. Snyder is an active member of RESOLVE, the National Fertility Association, the American Fertility Association, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and is the Chair of the American Bar Association committee on Reproductive and Genetic Technologies. Mr. Snyder’s broad-ranging expertise provides a very stable base for every surrogacy program IARC© facilitates.
IARC© provides vast experience, stability and ease for all parties involved in our programs. We do this by foreseeing the risks involved and taking steps to minimize them. We also follow the guidelines established by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology, which are comprised of experienced psychological, medical, and legal professionals who practice in the area of assisted reproductive technology. These are the preeminent governing bodies for this area in the United States.
At IARC©, we are proud to offer fully screened surrogate candidates to parents from all over the world who need their assistance. We comprehensively coordinate all legal, medical, financial, counseling, and educational aspects of the surrogacy process while always remaining concerned about the well being of each client, fertility helper, and unborn child. Our goal is to make surrogacy financially accessible to as many intended parents as possible while giving both the surrogate and the intended parents maximum support, assistance, advice, and guidance.
IARC© strives to make this process as comfortable and efficient as possible for all parties involved throughout each part of the process. We achieve this by our careful facilitation of our screening and matching processes. We would love to work with every woman who has the desire to help infertile couples through surrogacy, and we commend you for your generosity. However, there are stringent guidelines in place in order to make this process safe, stable and reliable for everyone involved. Therefore, we prescreen each of our surrogate candidates carefully before she ever begins the matching process. All of this screening is done at IARC©’s expense and includes a criminal background check, obstetric record review, health insurance analysis, and thorough psychological evaluation. This is not only a way to educate you about the process and set your expectations, but it also minimizes the chance that you will be disqualified from the process once you and the parents go through the work of selecting each other for a program. This saves all parties from potentially experiencing a great amount of emotional hardship. Once we are in contact, we will begin qualifying you immediately. This qualification takes approximately two to three months to complete.
The matching process is the most important aspect of your program. You will already be confident in your fitness to be a surrogate mother, but finding the right match will be the determining factor in the ease of your program. All of the “what ifs” must be discussed, including what if there are multiples, what if genetic testing is recommended by the doctor, etc. Being in agreement with regards to the result of these “what ifs” is necessary, and IARC© facilitates these careful conversations to ensure everyone is on the same page before the program begins.
At IARC© we recognize that you are integral to this process. We value and understand how much it takes physically and emotionally for you to give this gift. We look forward to beginning this journey with you!
